7. THE PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION WITH THE NATIONAL DAIRY FARM ASSURED SCHEME

1. Obtain the National Standards and Checklist from the
National Dairy Farm Assured Scheme

2. Incorporate the standards and EXACT WORDING of the
CHECKLIST into first purchaser documentation.

3. Submit all documentation and first purchaser details with a
signed application and the registration fees to the
National Dairy Farm Assured Scheme administration.

4. Documentation approved by Scheme administration.
Acceptance as Scheme Member.

5. Notification to Scheme administration of assessor
names being / to be used. 

8. NOTES TO THE PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION WITH THE NATIONAL DAIRY FARM ASSURED SCHEME 1. Any first purchaser considering registering with the Scheme, will need to obtain the National Standards, Checklist and Guidelines from the National Dairy Farm Assured Scheme administration.

2. The wording of the Checklist must be included to the letter in individual first purchaser schemes and be clearly identifiable in the first purchaser documentation. The key areas of first purchaser schemes must embrace the National Standards.

3. Both first purchaser checklists and supportive documentation must be submitted to the Scheme administration for approval, prior to being granted membership. Every effort will be made to respond to applications for registration within three weeks of receiving first purchaser documentation.

Purchaser Details Required on Application:

Name of first purchaser.
Address.
Phone / fax / e-mail numbers.
Contact names for farm assurance within the organisation.
- General contact.
- Contact for forwarding audit reports.
Number of active producers registering with the Scheme.
Location of farm assurance records.
Names of assessors to be used.

Registration fees are as follows:

First purchaser - £500.00 + VAT per annum.

A first instalment of £6.00+ VAT per active producer is due at submission of documentation. Thereafter a further £6.00 + VAT per active producer is payable at the beginning of each six month period beginning at 1 April and 1 October.

4. If documentation and first purchaser details are satisfactory and the appropriate fees have been submitted, membership of the Scheme will be granted.

If changes to the documentation are required the first purchaser will be advised in writing of the changes required. Once amended, the documentation can be resubmitted for approval.

5. Assessors appointed by the first purchaser, must be certificated. Details of the assessors must be advised to the Scheme administration before assessments commence
