FMD OUTBREAK - FRIDAY 03 AUGUST 2007 - ADF INSPECTIONS SUSPENDED
Following Friday (03 August 2007) night's confirmation of an FMD outbreak on a farm near Guildford and the subsequent UK ban on livestock movements, all ADF farm visits are to be suspended.
This full suspension shall remain in place for a minimum of a week. Arrangements will be reviewed thereafter on a weekly basis taking account of further information on the scale of the outbreak / effectiveness of the containment and official guidance from DEFRA and other bodies. With regard to when next audits are due and 60 day rectification periods, the 'clock/calendar' should be considered as frozen from Monday 06 August 2007.
Thank you for your co-operation. We will maintain contact as further details and advice emerge.
Details of this suspension has been notifed to all scheme certification bodies.
